The Madison Minotaurs are here to provide a safe and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to explore the world of rugby. Whether you've never played a team sport before or have no prior experience with contact sports, our dedicated coaching staff will guide you through the learning process every step of the way.
No Prior Experience Required
Don't worry if you're new to team sports or rugby. Many of our Minotaurs had never participated in sports before joining our club. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to discover their athletic abilities, and our experienced coaches are committed to ensuring your safety and growth throughout your time on the team.
Connect with the Community
Playing for an LGBTQ+ sports team opens doors to a whole new part of the LGBTQ+ community. As a Minotaur, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet LGBTQ+ individuals in person around the world - outside of online spaces, apps, bars, and nightclubs. Join us to build strong bonds and create lasting friendships within the LGBTQ+ community.
Play International Gay Rugby Teams
The Madison Minotaurs are part of International Gay Rugby (IGR) and we typically play other IGR teams. As a member of the Madison Minotaurs, you'll have the chance to embark to major cities throughout the Midwest, the greater United States, and even internationally. Our team has participated in matches and tournaments as close as Milwaukee and as far as Sydney, Australia. Get ready to explore new places, meet rugby enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
